HI everyone, It has been a while. I have been away working on the new GW set for this year. It is not really want you would call ground breaking. But the artist gets what the artist wants. Anyway, I have working on other things as well. I just want to send a shout out to Jim Gregory at Delta Stage Lighting. I hope this week goes well with your rig. Also, Joseph Troudt, I hope you have found

It has been a long time but I got some photos of a show I did in December of '07. Thommy Hall from Varilite send me these pictures. Thanks Thommy for sending them this way. If anyone out there has pictures from a Big and Rich or Gretchen Wilson show, we would love to see them and publish them.

So most of you of there have been in the position of looking for new employment. I have been very lucky in the last few years to be with stable talent who work often. What do you do when a client decides to work less and cut your rate at the same time. I am a loyal guy who would love to stay with one client for ever. It looks like that is not going to happen. More late.

I just wanted to give a shout out to Joe Leahy for helping me out the other day. Joe, took care of me like a pro, thanks for the hard work. I wish there where more guys like Joe who know what they are doing with pars. I am sure Joe know what he is doing with other fixtures as well but you can tell a lot about a tech and there company from how the par cans show up. I know that things are never perfect

We as a country finally elected a African American to the White House. Or as Cowboy troy would say a Black American. Troy has a very interesting opinion on the this subject. I heard him once respond in a radio interview that he was not a African American he was a Black American. Either way, it does not matter anymore. We as a country should be proud of the things we have done. I hope the President

I can’t wait for the input. On another note, welcome to the blog. I have been off for a few weeks so I don’t have much to say about lighting. Being home on the

Hey everyone, I just finished downloading all the varilite documents I could find. I have all the current manuals. I also found all the service manuals and posted them as well. Varilite may not like that I did this but I think it is important that techs be able to fix there lights. I know I hate it when lights break and the tech does not know all the tricks. Anyway, I will be added other pages

Welcome to the Daily Lie. As long as I have been touring I have wanted an outlet for recording all the stupidness that comes with the job. So I hope to be adding lots of photos of the things I have seen, people and places I have been, and some industry news. I am going to honor those companies and tech’s out there who do a great job, and point of the ones who don’t know what they are

So what has happened with the lighting companies in the country? When a touring act orders some light, be it Vl3000 spots or just 120k of pars, we expect the same service. Just last night I was doing a show with a local provider. The techs were nice enough, but there 120k did not work. It was more of 118k. It is really not that hard to do pars right. It is something I remember as one of the
