Book Club
Neuhaus Lighting is starting a book club. I am going to blog about some of the entertainment books I have read. I know I don't have all the entertainment books out there but I do have lot of them. If there are any that you suggest, I welcome them. While it is true that a book on the entertainment industry is out dated as soon as it is written, there are many things that can be learned from some
High End Systems Video Pod Cast
Today I found the High End Pod Cast, so i watched it. I watched 4 or 5 web-episodes, before I started feeling brain washed. There was the one with Howard Ungerleider raving about how the Hog 3 was the best desk around, and the one about the Beijing Olympics, and my favorite the DMX scratch. What is a DMX Scratch you may ask? Is it a new product? No, it is just some programing guys sitting around
I remember your first flight.
Can you remember your first flight on a plane? I can remember most of your first flights. Almost every time I go to the airport I get to see someones first flight. I know what you are thinking. There can't be that many people out there who have never flown. Well, there really are a ton of them. But that is not really who we are talking about. Those people don't know any better. They have no

Hey everyone, I just got the Space Navigator mouse from 3D Connexion. This handy little tool allows you to move around your 3D drawings with out using your arrow keys. It really allows for two handed drafting. Now I have three mice and a keyboard. Imagine how fast I could go if I had four hands. Anyway, for $59 it is a very useful tool. It is also a lot of fun to play with in google earth.

So, I have been checking out the new version of Vectorworks 2009. I really like it. Anyway, after reading the message boards today I have realized that there is a new feature. At least new to me. I know it was not in 12.5 but it could have been in 2008. That is the Hanging Angle for truss in the Obj. info pallet. This allows you to "hang" the truss at any angle to the ground you wish. Handy,

I have been waiting to update vectorworks from the day I got my last copy. I liked the last copy but I was not thrilled with the rendering engine. I really don't know what really changes with the Parasolid rendering but I can't wait to see. Right now as we speak Vectorworks is installing of my laptop and then we will install it on the desktop and really start doing some drawing. Check back at

We as a country finally elected a African American to the White House. Or as Cowboy troy would say a Black American. Troy has a very interesting opinion on the this subject. I heard him once respond in a radio interview that he was not a African American he was a Black American. Either way, it does not matter anymore. We as a country should be proud of the things we have done. I hope the President

Hey everyone, I just finished downloading all the varilite documents I could find. I have all the current manuals. I also found all the service manuals and posted them as well. Varilite may not like that I did this but I think it is important that techs be able to fix there lights. I know I hate it when lights break and the tech does not know all the tricks. Anyway, I will be added other pages
